SUMMARY
The Group Head of Data and Digital plays a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation by developing and executing a comprehensive digital and data strategy aligned with overall business goals and objectives. This individual leads the identification, assessment, and implementation of emerging technologies, digital solutions, and data-driven capabilities that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic priorities. The role is responsible for overseeing digital, data and analytics, and AI capabilities, ensuring that data and digital strategies are effectively aligned with business objectives to strengthen global operations and market presence. This position is pivotal in advancing the organisation’s digital transformation agenda and future-proofing its systems, technologies, and capabilities.
POSITION INFO
Key Responsibilities: Lead the definition, development and execution of the enterprise Digital, AI and Data & Analytics (D&A) strategy and ensure alignment with global business objectives. Identify, manage, and resolve architecture deviations across the Digital, AI and Data & Analytics lifecycle. Develop, implement, and maintain the Group Digital, AI and Data & Analytics portfolio strategy. Lead the identification, research, and evaluation of new Digital, AI and Data & Analytics technologies. Track and measure Digital, AI and Data & Analytics portfolio ROI, financial benefits, and overall value delivery. Ensure Digital, AI and Data & Analytics solutions adhere to security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Serve as a strategic liaison between business leaders, IT teams, and global stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication. Job Experience and Skill Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 10 years' experience in technology, digital transformation, data, and analytics environments, with significant project and programme management experience. At least 5 years of leadership experience in a senior Digital and Data & Analytics role. Proven experience working with enterprise platforms and applications, including SAP ECC, Syspro, and SAP SuccessFactors. Hands-on expertise with SAP BW, SAP BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and Microsoft Power BI. Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data governance frameworks. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Snowflake. Demonstrated ability to leverage data visualisation and business intelligence tools, including Power BI, Tableau, and SAP Analytics Cloud, to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
