Field Service Technician

Reporting to the Field Services Manager, you'll take ownership of installations, servicing and commissioning of manufacturing equipment from start to finish .You'll travel to sites locally and occasionally internationally, and act as a technical point of contact for clients between visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend to breakdowns, identify upselling opportunities on site, and follow through on potential sales
  • Draw up Bills of Materials for projects and liaise with Stores on procurement
  • Design panel drawings and layouts, liaising with panel builders on drawings and approvals
  • Review cable and materials specifications for installations (cable trays, glands, consumables etc.)
  • Carry out burner modification and retrofits, panel-to-burner testing and simulations ahead of installation
  • Handle startup and commissioning, including travel locally and internationally as required
  • Liaise with clients on travel arrangements, accommodation and site readiness ahead of visits
  • Provide remote advice and support to clients
  • Complete site reports, quotes and invoicing, and process paperwork with Accounts

What You'll Need

  • B Tech, in Mechanical Engineering
  • 1-5 years' experience in an engineering environment
  • Strong problem-solving ability, a customer-first attitude, and willingness to travel
  • Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain technical detail to non-technical clients
