Estimator Engineer to join its commercial team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, developing competitive tenders, managing project pricing, and supporting successful project delivery within the water and wastewater engineering sector.

This position is ideal for a commercially minded Mechanical Engineer who enjoys combining technical knowledge with costing, tendering, and project planning.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Approximately 10 years' experience in estimating, costing, project engineering, or engineering management.
  • Experience preparing tenders and project cost estimates.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles.
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment projects is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Project, and project management software.
  • Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's licence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate project estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.
  • Develop project budgets and cost plans.
  • Review engineering specifications and project requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Manage procurement planning and material costing.
  • Support project planning and implementation.
  • Monitor project costs and commercial performance.
  • Prepare project evaluation reports for management.
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
