Industrial Sales Representative - Packaging Equipment & Consumables

S4 Integration is seeking an experienced and driven Industrial Sales Representative to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and promoting a leading international range of end-of-line packaging equipment and consumables throughout South Africa.

This role offers the opportunity to represent premium industrial packaging solutions, including case erectors, case packers, carton sealing and taping machines, pallet wrapping equipment, strapping machines and tools, flexographic printing solutions, as well as associated consumables such as stretch film, strapping, and packaging tape.

The ideal candidate is commercially driven, technically minded, and enjoys building long-term relationships while delivering value-added solutions to industrial customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities and expand market share across South Africa.
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of Customers while identifying opportunities for additional equipment and consumable sales.
  • Conduct customer visits to understand operational requirements and recommend suitable packaging solutions.
  • Deliver professional product demonstrations and technical presentations.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals, managing opportunities through to successful order completion.
  • Drive recurring revenue by promoting consumables including stretch film, strapping products, and packaging tape.
  • Build long-term relationships with Customers through excellent service and account management.
  • Liaise with internal technical teams and suppliers to coordinate installations, commissioning, after-sales support, and warranty requirements.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and activity reports.
  • Represent S4 Integration professionally at customer sites, exhibitions, and industry events.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • 3–5 years' experience in B2B technical or industrial sales.
  • Experience selling packaging equipment, industrial machinery, automation, engineering solutions, or FMCG capital equipment will be highly advantageous.
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • An existing network of industrial contacts or customer relationships is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially driven with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid South African driver's licence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout South Africa, with occasional regional travel if required.
