Remuneration: R13000 to R18000 basic before deductions, depending on experience + incentives + pension / provident fund

Purpose Of The Job

Our client is looking for an experienced and driven Tyre Sales and Service Consultant to join the team. To provide professional tyre sales and customer service by assisting customers in selecting the most suitable products and services for their vehicle needs. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, prepare quotations, process sales, and coordinate workshop services while ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive, hands-on individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment and is committed to delivering exceptional service and contributing to the overall success of the business.

POSITION INFO

Responsibilities: Recommend and select products for customers based on their individual needs Describe products and explain their benefits and uses to potential customers Communicate with customers in person, by phone and by email to understand their needs Maintain a working knowledge of the company's various products and services To oversee and supervise the workshop staff to complete tasks assigned to them To order the correct parts as per service schedules, Vin numbers or Engine Numbers on vehicle license discs To order the correct tyres (Sizes, brands, etc as per customer requirements and quotations) Advise on correct fitment of tyres, rims and component replacements To quote customers on repairs needed To follow up on quotes given to customers that haven't come in for repairs Advise on wheel alignment and suspension problems To be prompt and maintain an excellent attendance record To build good customer relationships in order to secure repeat business Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) Minimum 3- 5 years of SALES EXPERIENCE in the Motor industry specifically related to the work below Tyres, Balancing, Wheel alignment, rim repair and or rim replacement (Essential) Exhausts, brakes, shocks, suspension repair, CV joints and Bull Bars, Towbars and Air conditioning (Essential) Car Service both Major and minor (Essential) Computer literate in software such as Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook (Training will be provided for the operating software used for processing sales) / B2B supplier portals / SMART-IT Working Hours Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5pm / Saturday 7:30am to 5pm Skills & Competencies: Display strong negotiating and selling skills (able to upsell rather than just take an order) Excellent people skills and intuitive to customer needs Know the difference between taking an order and selling a customer a service or product Able to remain calm when dealing with customer complaints and issues Vital to be able to work under pressure and be very target driven To be able to develop and maintain long term relationships with customers Convert customer needs into repairs to customer vehicles in the following areas: Under wheel arch repairs including suspension components and engine mountings Repair of engine deficiencies such as oil leaks, coil pack replacements, oil seat replacements, clutch replacements and prop shaft and side shaft repairs including cv joints Servicing of customer vehicles at manufacturing determined intervals - both major and minor (Essential) Tyres, Balancing, Wheel alignment, rim repair and or rim replacement (Essential) Exhausts, brakes, shocks, suspension repair, CV Joints and Bull Bars, Towbars and Air conditioning (Essential) Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
