Snolink Logistics (Pty) Ltd. is currently search for an experienced and results-driven Distribution Centre Manager to lead and manage all aspects of our Distribution Centre operations based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence and efficiency while ensuring business objectives and performance standards are met.

The successful candidate will bring strong operational leadership experience within a high-volume FMCG, Logistics, Warehousing, or Cold Storage Environment and possess the ability to drive performance through people, processes, and systems.

  • Develop and implement the annual Distribution Centre operational strategy and business plan.
  • Lead all receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, dispatch, and transport operations.
  • Drive warehouse productivity, labour utilisation, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, investigations, and stock control processes.
  • Minimise stock losses, damages, and shrinkage through effective operational controls.
  • Ensure fleet, refrigeration units, and warehouse equipment are maintained and operational.
  • Manage procurement, preventative maintenance, and replacement planning of operational assets.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve overall performance.
  • Prepare and manage operational and capital budgets.
  • Control overtime expenditure and operating costs.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies.
  • Report on budget performance and cost management initiatives.
  • Achieve OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery targets and contractual SLA requirements.
  • Reduce customer claims, re-deliveries, and service failures.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement.
  • Support customer onboarding and new business implementation.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through proactive service improvement.
  • Support customer retention and operational support for commercial growth.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and customer food safety requirements.
  • Maintain cold chain integrity across all receiving, storage, and dispatch activities.
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are consistently maintained.
  • Lead food safety audits, inspections, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure warehouse operations remain audit-ready at all times.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance throughout the operation.
  • Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Drive warehouse process optimisation and productivity enhancements.
  • Develop capacity plans and operational forecasts.
  • Implement and monitor improvement projects that deliver measurable business value.
  • Promote innovation and best practice across the operation.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and operational teams.
  • Manage performance, succession planning, and workforce capability development.
  • Drive employee engagement, accountability, and performance excellence.
  • Manage employee relations, absenteeism, and training compliance.
  • Foster a culture aligned with Snolink's values and leadership expectations.
  • A Senior (Metric) Certificate, Grade 12 or Equivalent - Compulsory.
  • A National Diploma or Degree on NQF level 7 in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years' of management experience within the FMCG, Cold Storage, Warehousing or Distribution and Logistics Environment - Advantageous.
  • Proven experience managing warehousing, fleet, inventory, and cold chain operations.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, and operational reporting systems.
  • Strong budgeting, cost control, and financial management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership of large operational teams.
