About You
You're more than a click-and-paste Salesforce Administrator, but you're not looking to spend all day writing complex Apex either. You love getting hands-on with Salesforce, building smart solutions through Flows and automation that make life easier for users. Naturally curious, you don't just fix problems, you dig into why they exist, whether it's the code, the process, or the data that's causing the issue. You're comfortable talking APIs, integrations, and field mappings with developers, but can just as easily translate technical concepts into plain English for business teams. Organisation is second nature to you, from maintaining clear documentation to keeping a clean backlog, and you enjoy taking ownership of a platform while continuously improving it.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, making it an ideal opportunity for someone excited to own meaningful projects, prepare Salesforce for major integrations, and make a lasting impact alongside our Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
1. System Recovery, Configuration & Flow Optimization
Diving deep into our current Salesforce Sales Cloud setup to audit, clean up, and document existing configurations.
Fixing known operational bugs that directly frustrate users (e.g., stabilizing lead notifications, correcting calendar reminders, adjusting validation rules).
Building, maintaining, and scaling complex Salesforce Flows to automate lead assignment, status tracking, and tasks without over-complicating the UI.
Optimizing page layouts, record pages, and field visibilities to align strictly with how our Account Managers actually work.
2. Commercial Analytics & Dashboards
Designing and deploying clean, actionable reports and dashboards that track lead sources, conversions, supplier engagement histories, and pipeline readiness.
Configuring custom adoption dashboards to pinpoint exactly where users are experiencing system friction.
3. Data Integrity & Web-to-Lead Support
Building monitoring tools to flag incomplete, messy, or duplicate supplier records.
Collaborating with our web development team to improve our external "Sell With Us" landing page form, ensuring complex incoming multi-product payloads parse accurately into clean Salesforce leads.
4. Integration Readiness Bridging
Working hand-in-hand with the CTO, internal developers, and external partners to prepare Salesforce for upcoming integrations.
Reviewing field mappings and data structures on the Salesforce side to ensure they can cleanly ingest and send API payloads.
Maintaining an institutional technical change log and providing accurate complexity/effort estimations for the product backlog.
Experience and Qualifications
2 to 4 years of hands-on experience actively configuring and maintaining Salesforce Sales Cloud. (You are past the entry-level stage; you can work confidently without daily technical oversight).
Deep, practical experience building advanced declarative automations via Salesforce Flow, Validation Rules, and Security Architectures (Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Settings).
A strong understanding of core data relationships (Leads vs. Accounts vs. Opportunities) and how custom objects relate to standard fields.
Practical understanding of web forms, web-to-lead setups, and how data moves across systems via REST/GraphQL concepts.
Highly Advantageous: Exposure to programmatic Salesforce development (Apex, LWC) or a background in light HTML/JavaScript/PHP web scripting.
Values
Challenge Accepted: We actively seek ownership, embrace complexity, and hold ourselves accountable for delivering high-quality, reliable code.
Solve Smart: We find the simplest, most effective path to a solution. We use data to inform our decisions, challenge assumptions, and build for the long-term.
Character Counts: We act with integrity in all that we do. We communicate with transparency, give and receive feedback constructively, and take accountability for our mistakes and our successes.
Customer Obsessed: We build with empathy for our users. We strive to understand their needs and challenges, making them the central focus of every feature we ship and every line of code we write.
Seriously Unserious: We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. We bring energy and humor to our collaborations, celebrate our successes together, and support each other through challenges.
