Job Advert Summary
Seeking a results driven individual to join our dynamic sales team to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned client base and/or market segment by effectively selling Macsteel VRN's products and related services.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 (Std 10)
- Knowledge of VRN products is essential – Stainless, Aluminium and Carbon Steel
- Minimum of 5 years external sales experience.
- Key account management is essential.
- Technical drawing experience and the interpretation thereof is a pre-requisite.
- CAD experience is essential.
- Must be computer literate. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and SAP experience is essential.
- Excellent verbal / telephonic communication skills are a requirement.
- Must be a team player.
Duties and Responsibilities
- All aspects of external sales including handling of customer calls, preparation of quotations and processing of customer orders
- Exceptional customer interaction and service levels.
- Follow-up with customers to ensure completion of order requirements.
- Meeting sales targets
- Day to day liaison with stores, operations, distribution, and customers.
- Quotes, costing and sourcing.
- Liaise with Management on pricing (special, contract and normal pricing).
- Provide market intelligence and activities to grow market share.
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Maximise business unit profits.
- Assist with stock counts.
