SUMMARY

Our client in the Construction Industry is seeking to employ an Electrical Quality Officer to join their team. Please note that this is a (fixed-term contract).

POSITION INFO

Efficiency Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd Registration No. 2022/876857/07 Responsibilities: Conduct quality inspections on electrical works, including overhead line construction, substation construction, refurbishment, and related site activities. Ensure all work complies with project specifications, drawings, quality plans, safety requirements, and applicable standards. Monitor workmanship, materials, tools, equipment, and site practices to identify non-conformances and areas for improvement. Compile and maintain quality records, inspection reports, checklists, non-conformance reports, and close-out documentation. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the company's Quality Management System. Liaise with project managers, supervisors, clients, and contractors regarding quality requirements and inspection outcomes. Participate in audits, site assessments, and quality meetings as required. Minimum Requirements: Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering/Quality Management or a related field. Proven experience as a Quality Officer, Quality Inspector, or similar role within the electrical engineering or construction environment. Practical experience with overhead power lines, transmission lines, substations, and related electrical infrastructure projects. Good understanding of quality control procedures, inspection methods, and project documentation. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and inspection test plans. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Valid driver's license. Willingness to travel to project sites when required. Preferred Skills and Attributes: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a site-based project team. Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality principles will be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify corrective and preventive actions. Safety-conscious approach to all site activities.
