SUMMARY

A leading producer is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a qualified CA(SA) with strong management accounting experience gained within a milling, plant, or manufacturing environment, coupled with exposure to a JSE-listed company.

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing financial insights, driving operational efficiencies, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information to stakeholders. Minimum Requirements: Qualified CA(SA) - non-negotiable Proven management accounting experience within a milling, plant, or manufacturing environment JSE-listed company exposure is essential Strong understanding of costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Experience partnering with operational and production teams Advanced Excel skills and ERP system exposure Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts and performance reports Analyse financial and operational results, identifying trends and areas for improvement Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes Monitor production costs, plant efficiencies, and operational performance Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to management Prepare profitability and margin analysis across products and business units Support cost control initiatives and continuous improvement projects Develop and maintain costing models and key performance indicators Partner with operational management to improve financial and operational performance Assist with annual budgeting cycles and strategic planning initiatives Prepare board packs, management reports, and executive presentations Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate governance requirements, and internal controls Support financial reporting requirements within a JSE-listed environment Assist with capital expenditure evaluations and investment appraisals Liaise with internal and external auditors and support audit processes Apply now!
