An established accounting firm in Potchefstroom is seeking a registered SAIPA Professional Accountant to join its professional team. This office-based role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio, providing accounting, taxation and advisory services to businesses across various industries. The successful candidate will play an integral role in maintaining high-quality financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance and delivering practical financial solutions to clients.
- Manage a portfolio of clients and provide professional accounting services.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Perform independent reviews and ensure files are audit-ready where required.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE and income tax.
- Provide tax planning and compliance support for individuals and businesses.
- Liaise with clients on accounting, taxation and financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislative requirements.
- Assist clients with business advisory, financial reporting and operational improvements.
- Mentor junior staff members and contribute to the efficient operation of the practice.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional service delivery.
- Registered SAIPA Professional Accountant in good standing.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Financial Accounting.
- Completed SAIPA articles.
- Previous experience within an accounting or audit practice.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, taxation and independent reviews.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage or Pastel.
- Experience with CaseWare and Draftworx will be advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and client relationship management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
- High level of accuracy with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
