Role Description

The Senior Financial Consultant role is a contract, on-site position based in KZN. The consultant is required to assist with the following:

• Preparation of Municipality Financial statements of Caseware
• Review of accounting records of the Municipality and recommend adjustments
• Monitor Action plan and ensure that all findings from prior year audit are resolved
• Lead the team and discuss the progress with the client on weekly basis
• Report to Senior Manager on weekly basis on progress of work
• Review and update Fixed asset register for Municipality

Qualifications

• B.com accounting and must have completed articles. First preference to be given to Charterted Accountant
• Minimum of 3 years experince in MFMA and or PFMA and GRAP reporting framework
• Prior experince in consulting is added advantage
• Proven experience in consulting or advisory roles, preferably within municipal environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage clients, explain complex concepts clearly, and build long-term relationships.
• High level of integrity, professional ethics, and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
