About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, detail-oriented work and takes pride in producing consistently accurate results. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the firm's finance and operational functions while working closely with the finance, operations, and investment teams.

Finance & Management Accounting

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including supporting schedules and variance analysis.
  • Manage debtors and creditors, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Raise and issue client invoices while monitoring collections and outstanding balances.
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow management, and month-end reporting.

Fund Accounting

  • Support fund accounting processes, including NAV reviews, reconciliations, and oversight of administrator and custodian reporting.
  • Reconcile fund cash balances, investment positions, and fee calculations.
  • Liaise with third-party administrators to resolve queries and reconciliation differences.

Operations

  • Process and verify trade allocations across investment portfolios.
  • Provide operational support to the investment and operations teams.
  • Perform routine reconciliations and data integrity checks.
  • Maintain and improve operational processes and internal controls.
  • Assist with monthly fund performance reporting.

Qualifications

  • BCom in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Experience

  • 3-5 years' relevant experience in finance and/or operations.
  • Fund accounting experience will be highly advantageous.
  • Experience within asset management, financial services, or another regulated environment is beneficial.
  • Exposure to Python, SQL, or other data analysis and automation tools is advantageous.
