A bold and exciting new automotive brand is entering the South African market – backed by one of the country’s top-selling passenger vehicle manufacturers. Our client is looking for an experienced Brand & Marketing Executive to join at OEM level and play a pivotal role in launching and establishing this dynamic new brand.

Purpose Of The Job

The Brand & Marketing Executive will work closely with internal Brand, Marketing, and Sales teams to drive strategic initiatives and ensure operational effectiveness. This is a critical leadership role responsible for developing and executing brand strategies that enhance market presence, drive awareness, and deliver commercial success. This individual must be a creative thinker with strong strategic insight, capable of overseeing the end-to-end brand lifecycle in the South African market. From launching new products to building long-term brand equity, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the voice, image, and success of the brand.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the full Brand & Marketing team, providing guidance, support, and performance management Develop and implement annual brand strategies, goals, budgets, and tactical plans Establish and maintain a comprehensive brand communication framework and ensure adherence to brand standards Oversee media relations, influencer partnerships, and test drive/PR programs to boost brand visibility and credibility Plan and manage major brand events, activations, and public engagements Oversee development of brand CI (Corporate Identity) materials and ensure compliance via regular audits Lead the planning, execution, and post-launch evaluation of all new product introductions Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking; manage public relations and maintain a strong brand image Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams to implement brand initiatives that support market penetration and growth Take on additional responsibilities as required by senior management Requirements / Qualifications: Matric and a tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field is essential Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior Brand and Marketing role within the automotive industry, at OEM level Proven experience in leading cross-functional brand or product communication projects Strong background in media relations and reporting Solid track record of managing and mentoring marketing teams In-depth understanding of brand development, positioning, and go-to-market strategies Must be deadline-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment Motor Industry experience Essential!!
