SUMMARY
Our client in the Sporting Goods Manufacturing Industry is seeking to employ a Bookkeeper / Administrator to join their team based in North End, Port Elizabeth.
POSITION INFO
Requirements: Minimum 2+ years' bookkeeping/accounting experience (essential). Proficient in IQ Retail, Sage, Microsoft Office, and Excel. Strong knowledge of payroll, VAT, EMP returns, and SARS eFiling. Strong organizational, analytical, and reconciliation skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Fluent in Afrikaans and English (bilingual). Valid Driver's License and reliable transport. Responsibilities: Track company expenses, budgets, taxes, cash flow, receipts, and other financial transactions. Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly, and yearly). Monitor accounts payable and receivable, including debtor follow-ups. Process payroll, including mid-year and year-end EMP501 submissions via SARS e-Filing. Daily reconciliation of bank statements, credit cards, and petty cash. Monthly EMP201 submissions and VAT reconciliations/returns to SARS. Handle year-end journals and Workman's Compensation ROE submissions. Assist with daily cash-ups, stock takes, stock control, stock ordering, and stock returns. Manage debtors and creditors - full function including quotes and sales orders. Process transactions in Pastel/IQ Retail and ensure accounts are balanced. Assist management with reasonable ad-hoc duties. Prepare UI19 monthly returns and other compliance submissions. Support product costing processes. Respond to emails and maintain clear communication with management and external stakeholders. Please note that if you do not receive a response within 2 weeks, your application has been unsuccessful.
