Sales Representative

Our client in the FMCG Industry, requires the services of a Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate must be performance driven, and have an entrepreneurial mind-set, can build strong customer relationships, and want to grow their income by increasing their sales.
Key performance areas:
- Drive sales growth in the region
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through strong relationship building
- Identify and unlock new business opportunities
- Negotiate pricing, promotions, and trading terms where required
- Monitor stock levels
- Work closely with colleagues and other stakeholders
- Analyse sales performance and implement corrective actions where needed
The successful candidate must have
- Matric with a relevant Diploma/Degree
- Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in sales in an Agricultural/FMCG industry
- Must have previous experience in sales, preferably selling to wholesalers & independents
- An established client base would be advantageous
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Strong business development and account management skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the role
- Good planning and organisation skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Must have a driver’s licence and be willing to travel
