Our client in the FMCG Industry, requires the services of a Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate must be performance driven, and have an entrepreneurial mind-set, can build strong customer relationships, and want to grow their income by increasing their sales.

Key performance areas:

  • Drive sales growth in the region
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts through strong relationship building
  • Identify and unlock new business opportunities
  • Negotiate pricing, promotions, and trading terms where required
  • Monitor stock levels
  • Work closely with colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Analyse sales performance and implement corrective actions where needed

The successful candidate must have

  • Matric with a relevant Diploma/Degree
  • Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in sales in an Agricultural/FMCG industry
  • Must have previous experience in sales, preferably selling to wholesalers & independents
  • An established client base would be advantageous
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel)
  • Strong business development and account management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of the role
  • Good planning and organisation skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Must have a driver’s licence and be willing to travel
