Role Overview

E-Click is looking for a Senior Front-End & Android Developer / Solution Specialist to support the continued development of its Helix workflow system and related client platforms.

This is not only a coding role. The successful candidate must be able to understand business processes, translate operational requirements into practical system functionality, and build front-end and Android solutions that are stable, user-friendly and ready for real-world use.

The role is best suited to someone who is technically strong, delivery-focused, practical, solution-minded and comfortable working in a team where ownership matters.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Designing, building, maintaining and improving Android and front-end applications.
• Developing workflow-based user interfaces for operational systems.
• Translating business and client requirements into practical screens, forms, workflows and user journeys.
• Supporting and improving the Helix workflow system, including usability, performance, stability and field-readiness.
• Building and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin.
• Assisting with front-end web development across E-Click platforms.
• Integrating front-end and mobile applications with APIs and back-end services.
• Participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical discussions and delivery reviews.
• Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving bugs, performance issues and usability problems.
• Supporting mobile deployment, device readiness and application maintenance.
• Working with QA and testing processes to ensure stable releases.
• Contributing to system documentation, user guidance, technical notes and handover material.
• Using AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve delivery speed, code quality and solution thinking.
• Taking ownership of assigned deliverables and communicating progress, risks and blockers clearly.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have:

• 4 to 8 years’ commercial software development experience.
• Strong Android development experience using Kotlin.
• Experience with mobile application deployment, support and maintenance.
• Front-end development experience.
• Strong understanding of Git and source control workflows.
• Experience with API integrations.
• Agile or Scrum delivery experience.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly.

Strongly Preferred Experience

The following experience would be beneficial:

• React or React Native.
• TypeScript.
• Firebase.
• Mobile application performance optimisation.
• CI/CD exposure.
• Automated testing.
• Strong UI/UX awareness.
• Building workflow, form-based or operational systems.
• Working with tablets, field applications or operational users.

Advantageous Experience

The following would be advantageous:

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT.
• A product-thinking mindset.
• Mentorship or team-support experience.
• Experience working across both web and mobile platforms.
• Understanding of business process mapping and workflow logic.
• Ability to work directly with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve usability.
