Delivery Driver

We are seeking an efficient and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our Logistics Department to distribute products promptly to our customers and effect collections. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction. This role is dependent on the delivery or collection requirements which are determined by customers and operating times are not fixed. The Delivery Driver shall operate on a flexi schedule.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes using various delivery vehicles that are available
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Load and unload product as per instruction
• Ensure delivery notes and proof of delivery are signed by consignee and returned to the designated supervisor
• Complete logs and reports
• Follow local and national road regulations and safety standards
• Report and ensure that management maintains and repairs vehicles prior to operation

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
• Valid professional driver’s license (Code 14)
• Ability to drive LDV’s to 8 tonne vehicles
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Meticulous maintaining of vehicles
• Ensure vehicles are in roadworthy condition before leaving Barron’s premises
• Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics
• Good driving record with no traffic violations
• Matric certificate
