Our client, a reputable construction company based in Somerset West, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Construction Site Clerk to join their project team on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative, procurement, reporting, and site support functions to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of construction projects.
Minimum Requirements
- BuildSmart experience is essential and non-negotiable.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a construction administration or site clerk role within the construction industry.
- Strong administrative and reporting skills.
- Good understanding of construction site processes and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced site environment.

POSITION INFO
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Administration & Reporting Capture delivery notes accurately on BuildSmart . Compile and maintain daily site reports. Provide general administrative support to the Site Agent and project team. Assist with the preparation and updating of monthly site progress reports. Prepare project handover documentation and reports. Record and distribute minutes of subcontractor meetings. Procurement & Supplier Coordination Order materials and consumables as required. Schedule and coordinate deliveries to site. Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and related queries. Generate contra charges and maintain the contra charge register. Plant & Inventory Management Monitor and record daily and monthly plant operating hours. Receive, log, and report plant breakdowns. Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records. Quality, Health & Safety Compile and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) files. Assist the Safety Officer with health and safety administration. Conduct site inspections. Attend Health and Safety Committee meetings and assist with follow-up actions.
