Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will be essential to the success of their engineering projects, with a strong focus on the design, modifications and stability analysis of customised and specialised platforms to support the integration of advanced lifting and loading equipment or systems. BEng in Mechanical Engineering and 3 - 5 years experience required.

Requirements and Qualifications

• BEng in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in the material handling industry.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or Inventor.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with engineering analysis and calculation methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Design of mechanical systems, components and sub-base and/or chassis platforms to support the integration of lifting and loading equipment or systems.
• Structural analysis by performing calculations and simulations to ensure integrity, stability, safety and compliance with applicable standards.
• Work closely with sales and production teams to modify or develop customised solutions tailored to client specifications, especially for attachments and crane applications.
• Provide technical support to production teams to resolve design-related issues and ensure the manufacturability of engineered products.
• Participate in prototype builds and product testing to validate performance and resolve issues.
• Identify and implement design improvements and modifications to increase efficiency, durability, and cost effectiveness.
• Prepare engineering / technical drawings, bill of materials, manuals, and installation guidelines.
• Ensure that all designs comply with the industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality assurance procedures.
