We are seeking an accomplished and driven Senior Accounting Manager to join our client's dynamic global accounting team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to expand their expertise in U.S. accounting while working closely with international clients and leading a team of accounting professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing the delivery of high-quality financial services, providing leadership and mentorship to junior team members and contributing to the continued growth and success of a collaborative, high-performing organisation.

  • Manage a portfolio of U.S.-based clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Oversee month-end and quarterly accounting processes, including reconciliations and financial statement reviews.
  • Review accounting work, Sales Tax returns, and Accounts Payable processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior accountants and bookkeepers while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and service delivery.
  • Identify and resolve accounting issues, recommend process improvements, and take ownership of client deliverables.
  • Assist with U.S. tax-related work and develop expertise in U.S. accounting and tax compliance.
  • BCom Accounting or a related accounting qualification.
  • Completed SAICA, SAIPA, or equivalent articles.
  • Approximately 6 years of accounting experience, including post-article experience.
  • Professional designation (CA(SA), SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar) is advantageous
  • Previous experience in a senior accounting role, with team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to work U.S.-aligned hours when required, particularly during busy periods.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends during peak season.
  • Willingness to travel internationally if required.
