Purpose Of The Job
Our client an Automotive Battery Specialist who supply and provide aftermarket support for leading global brands, require a HR Administrator who will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department, ensuring efficient HR processes, accurate employee records, compliance with labour legislation, and effective support to employees and management. The role supports recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, training coordination, employee relations, and HR reporting.
POSITION INFO
Responsibilities: HR Administration Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases Prepare employment contracts, job offers, confirmation letters, and other HR documentation Manage filing systems (electronic and physical) in compliance with company policies Ensure all personnel files are complete and up to date Support audits and compliance inspections by preparing required documentation Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates Conduct reference checks and assist with pre-employment screening Prepare onboarding documentation and induction schedules Facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding processes Track probation reviews and confirmations of employment Payroll & Benefits Administration Capture and submit payroll information, including leave, overtime, and attendance records Assist with payroll queries and resolve discrepancies Administer employee benefit programs, including medical aid, retirement funds, and insurance Process employee status changes, terminations, and benefit enrolments Employee Relations Provide first-line HR support to employees regarding HR policies and procedures Assist with disciplinary, grievance, and performance management administration Schedule hearings, meetings, and employee consultations Maintain confidentiality regarding employee matters Training & Development Coordinate training schedules and employee registrations Maintain training records and skills matrices Assist with compliance training related to manufacturing, health and safety, and quality standards Support the administration of learnerships, apprenticeships, and skills development initiatives Time & Attendance Management Monitor employee attendance and leave records Maintain leave balances and process leave applications Assist supervisors with attendance-related reports and queries Ensure compliance with company attendance policies Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with labour legislation, company policies, and industry regulations Assist with Employment Equity, Skills Development, and statutory reporting requirements Generate HR reports and workforce statistics as required Support health and safety initiatives relevant to the manufacturing environment Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field Minimum 2-3 years' experience in an HR administrative role Experience working within a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment preferred Knowledge of payroll systems Experience with Employment Equity and Skills Development reporting Knowledge and Skills: Sound knowledge of labour legislation and HR best practices Understanding of payroll administration processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong administrative and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong attention to detail and accuracy Problem-solving and time-management skills Key Competencies: Integrity and confidentiality Attention to detail Customer service orientation Teamwork and collaboration Planning and organizing Adaptability and flexibility Professionalism Initiative and accountability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Accuracy of employee records maintained Timely completion of recruitment and onboarding activities Payroll accuracy and submission deadlines met HR reporting completed on time Compliance with labour and statutory requirements Employee query resolution turnaround time Training records maintained and updated HR audit compliance score Please note only candidates with the required experience will be contacted and considered.
