Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma / B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have a minimum of 2–5 years of proven experience as an Equipment Condition Monitoring Technologist
  • Vibration Analysis II or highest & Thermgrapgy level I
  • Experience in condition monitoring systems (Manual and online e.g. SPM, Baker Huges or Emmerson systems)
  • Experience in tribology
  • Experience in alignment
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience in Power Bi (advantageous)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Focal point for Equipment Condition Monitoring Operating Discipline (including practices and procedures).
  • Take vibration measurements, evaluate results and report deviations.
  • Evaluate and report oil analysis results.
  • Provide guidelines based on results for inspections and repairs.
  • Analyse online condition monitoring information and report deviations.
  • Load notifications on SAP.
  • Determine if deviations have occurred and the severity.
  • Determine if deviation / failure meets RCI triggers and report.
  • Evaluate preventive / predictive maintenance results.
  • Prepare scope of work on the equipment or the change PPM procedures based upon the preventive / predictive maintenance results.
  • Optimize the preventive / predictive maintenance procedures and frequencies in conjunction with the Reliability Engineer.
  • Inspect Preventive Repairs as defined by repair plans.
  • Maintain and update condition monitoring systems.
  • Provide guidance and training to artisans when required. (Oil sampling, alignment and thermography)
