Job Advert Summary

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Bricklayer to assist our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining brick, block, and stone structures while ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and project specifications.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) will be an advantage.
• Trade Test Certificate as a Qualified Bricklayer is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a bricklayer.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Sound knowledge of bricklaying techniques and construction methods.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials according to drawings and specifications.
• Construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, paving, and other masonry structures.
• Measure, cut, and shape building materials accurately.
• Mix mortar and ensure the correct consistency for construction work.
• Check alignment, levels, and dimensions using appropriate tools.
• Repair damaged brickwork and perform general masonry maintenance.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations on site.
• Work effectively with supervisors, artisans, and other construction team members to meet project deadlines.
