Role overview/purpose

To drive revenue growth by effectively upselling a range of value-added products to existing and prospective customers, while consistently delivering exceptional customer service. The role requires strong sales capability, the ability to identify customer needs and positioning relevant solutions that enhance customer value and experience.

Qualification

  • Matric/Grade 12
  • RE 5 (Required if past DOFA Date)
  • FAIS credits (Required if past DOFA Date)
  • Meet the regulatory requirements (e.g. DOFA period, FAIS Fit & Proper)

Experience and skills required

  • 1 year Inbound/Outbound call centre sales experience
  • 1 year VAPS experience (beneficial)
  • Fluency in English is essential plus one other official language.

Key Responsibilities

  • To share ideas and insights with the team in pursuit of continuously improving the effectiveness of the sales team.
  • Identify upsell opportunities by understanding customer needs and profiles.
  • Promote and sell value-added products to existing and prospective customers.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service in every interaction.
  • Apply effective sales techniques to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Handle objections confidently and close sales professionally.
  • Ensure accurate capturing of customer information and sales details.
  • Maintain product knowledge to confidently position solutions.
  • Adhere to compliance and quality assurance standards.
  • Meet defined KPIs including conversion rates, call quality, and productivity.
  • Follow up on leads and customer commitments within agreed timelines.
