POSITION INFO
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee inventory control, stock accuracy, warehouse operations, and inventory planning within a fast-paced warehousing and distribution environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, inventory integrity, cost control, compliance, and leading a high-performing team. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field 7-10 years'' experience as an Inventory Manager within Warehousing, Distribution, FMCG, or QSR environments Minimum 10 years'' warehousing and distribution experience Minimum 5 years'' stock management experience Minimum 5 years'' people management experience Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, and stock management systems Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and GP systems Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and organisational skills Key Responsibilities Manage inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, put-away processes, and stock reconciliation Oversee inventory planning, stock counts, variance investigations, and reporting Monitor inventory costs, budgets, and financial controls Ensure compliance with warehouse, quality, health and safety, and audit requirements Lead and develop inventory teams through training, coaching, and performance management Maintain supplier returns, stock rotation, shelf-life control, and inventory master data Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise inventory processes and operational performance Manage warehouse assets, equipment maintenance, and operational risk Prepare accurate operational, financial, and inventory reports Key Skills Inventory Management Warehouse & Distribution Operations Stock Control & Reconciliation Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Supply Chain Management Financial & Cost Control Inventory Planning & Reporting Leadership & People Management Process Improvement Risk Management & Compliance Advanced Microsoft Excel Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills Planning & Organisational Skills Communication & Attention to Detail
