What will you be doing

We have an exciting learning opportunity for a Food Tech Intern, which will include exposure, understanding and application of the following:

  • Investigate any other food safety or quality non-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Complete weekly and monthly trending reports.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Ad-hoc tasks requested from time to time.
  • Ensuring food safety, quality, environmental and occupational health and safety practices are adhered to as per company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with Micro – Sampling micro samples and other samples according to procedure.
  • Oversee processes and procedures inside the factory.

Programme information

  • This is a 12-month Intern programme based at our Salads & Pickles Plant reporting to the Manager: Quality Control
  • Will at times support the national Quality Assurance structure in rolling out of specific projects / tasks
  • May be required to travel to sites for exposure to all business units

Qualification Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Completed a Diploma/ Degree in: BSC Food Science Qualification/Food Technology
  • Driver’s license (advantageous)
