Position Details
Job Title: Driver
Grade: C
Number of Positions: Two (2)
Responsible To: District Education Manager / Senior Self Reliance Officer
Locations: Mafeteng and Maseru
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Senior Self Reliance Officer, the incumbent is responsible for operating and maintaining Government vehicles and providing transport services for authorised official duties.
Key Duties
- Ensure the vehicle under your care is maintained in accordance with Government vehicle regulations.
- Drive departmental vehicles for all authorised official duties.
- Transport officers to and from official destinations.
- Keep the vehicle logbook up to date.
- Ensure vehicles are serviced and cleaned regularly.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the appropriate authority.
Qualifications
- COSC/GCE/JC plus a valid driver’s licence held for at least two (2) years
- Technical knowledge of vehicle mechanics will be an added advantage
