Position Details
Job Title: Inspector – Mathematics
Grade: H
Responsible To: Chief Inspector
Job Summary
The Inspector – Mathematics is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and improving the quality of mathematics teaching and learning in schools. The position provides professional guidance, curriculum support, and instructional supervision to ensure effective delivery of mathematics education.
Key Duties
- Inspect mathematics teaching and learning in schools.
- Provide professional guidance and support to mathematics teachers.
- Monitor implementation of the mathematics curriculum.
- Evaluate teaching methods and recommend improvements.
- Conduct school visits and prepare inspection reports.
- Provide advice on teaching materials and assessment practices.
- Support teacher development programmes.
- Analyse learner performance and recommend interventions.
- Participate in curriculum review and development activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education with Mathematics as a teaching subject.
Experience
- Relevant teaching experience in Mathematics.
- Experience in education supervision or inspection will be an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation.
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills.
- Good communication and report writing skills.
- Ability to provide professional guidance to teachers.
- Computer literacy.
