Position Details
Job Title: Clerical Assistant
Grade: B
Number of Positions: One (1)
Responsible To: Assistant Executive Officer
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Executive Officer, the incumbent is responsible for carrying out clerical duties relating to the circulation and dispatch of mail, correspondence, and operation of the filing system.
Key Duties
- Circulate mail in accordance with established procedures.
- Receive and file official correspondence.
- Dispatch outgoing mail after ensuring it has been properly recorded.
- Open personal and general files when required.
- Ensure timely movement and circulation of files.
- Maintain and update registers of serving, resigned, retired, and deceased officers’ files.
Qualifications
- COSC/GCE
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to read and write Sesotho and English
- Commendable interpersonal skills
