IN-HOUSE ATTORNEY — COLLECTIONS (SANDTON)

Are you a driven Admitted Attorney ready to step out of private practice and into a fast-paced in-house role where your work directly protects the bottom line?

We're looking for a civil litigation attorney with 3–5 years post-admission experience and strong debt collections expertise to join our in-house legal team, working closely with the Head of Legal to manage the Company's entire litigation portfolio — from strategy and risk assessment to court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.

What you'll own: Manage disputes end-to-end, including debt recovery and collections litigation , and coordinate external attorneys and advocates Draft and settle summons, affidavits, legal opinions, acknowledgements of debt , and commercial agreements (SLAs, NDAs, shareholder agreements) Advise management on litigation risk, regulatory compliance, and governance Shape enterprise risk strategy and support internal investigations What you bring: LLB from a recognised South African university Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa 3-5 years post-admission civil litigation experience at a reputable firm, with a proven track record in debt collections Sharp research and drafting skills, with solid grounding in SA civil procedure and commercial law Resilience to handle extended hours when deadlines demand it Details: Office-based in Sandton | R35,000-R45,000/month | Occasional in-country travel If you're ready to trade billable-hour pressure for real ownership of a company's legal risk, we want to hear from you.
