Position Details
Job Title: Finance Officer
Grade: G
Responsible To: Principal Accountant
Job Summary
The Finance Officer is responsible for providing financial management support, including budgeting, accounting, expenditure control, and preparation of financial reports for the Ministry.
Key Duties
- Assist in preparation and implementation of budgets.
- Monitor expenditure and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
- Process financial transactions and maintain accounting records.
- Prepare financial reports and statements.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Government financial regulations.
- Provide financial advice to departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience
- Relevant experience in financial management or accounting.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Budget management skills.
- Analytical and numerical skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
