We are seeking an experienced and strategic
IT Manager to lead and oversee the organisation's IT function across facilities nationwide. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and efficient technology services that support business objectives and long-term growth.
The successful candidate will drive IT strategy, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, project delivery, vendor relationships, budget control, and compliance with Group IT standards, while leading a high-performing IT team and championing technology-driven business improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in IT Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Additional professional certifications, highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years' experience within Information Technology.
- At least 5 years' experience in a management role.
- Demonstrated experience in multiple areas including:
- Project Management;
- Data Management and Security;
- Network Management and Security;
- Infrastructure Management;
- Vendor Management.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership and people management abilities, including performance management and staff development.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, risk management, and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the IT Executive, the IT Manager will:
- Lead and manage IT teams, systems, and technology assets across facilities nationwide.
- Translate business strategy into operational IT plans aligned with industry best practice.
- Provide strategic technology guidance to the Executive Committee.
- Ensure alignment with Group IT security, modernisation, governance, and audit requirements.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of all IT infrastructure.
- Manage annual IT budgets, cost forecasting, software licensing, and vendor contracts.
- Lead and oversee IT projects, including upgrades, implementations, and system migrations.
- Ensure effective management of IT operations, service delivery, access controls, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and key stakeholders, ensuring agreed service levels are achieved.
- Drive the transition from legacy on-premises environments to modern cloud-based platforms.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that improve operational efficiency and support business growth.
