Job Overview

Will be responsible for building and growing the club brand throughout Durban, with a primary focus on establishing deep-rooted brand awareness and community presence in Chatsworth and surrounding areas. The role combines grassroots community marketing, schools' engagement, supporter relations and city-wide brand growth, working to convert local visibility into a loyal, expanding supporter base and a stronger commercial profile for the club.

POSITION INFO

Minimum Requirements: Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management or a related field. Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in marketing, brand or community engagement role, ideally within sport, entertainment or a community-facing organisation. Demonstrated experience running community-based or grassroots marketing campaigns. Strong understanding of South African football, the Betway Premiership and the local Durban/KZN sporting landscape. Experience managing social media platforms and basic content creation (photography/video an advantage). Valid driver's licence and own vehicle with willingness to travel regularly across Durban & KZN. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a dedicated community marketing plan to establish the club's home-ground presence. Identify and activate local visibility opportunities, including community boards, local businesses, taxi ranks, malls and community centres in Chatsworth, Westcliff, Bayview and surrounding areas. Plan and lead a structured programme of visits to primary and secondary schools across greater Durban, introducing learners to the club, its players and its youth development pathways. Coordinate with the youth development and transition coaching staff to align school visits with talent identification and recruitment opportunities. Own and grow relationships with the club's official and informal supporter groups, ensuring regular, two-way communication and a strong matchday experience. Plan and execute supporter activations on matchdays, including fan zones, meet-and-greets, competitions and pre/post-match engagement. Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy that extends the club's brand presence into the greater Durban metro and KwaZulu-Natal region. Manage the club's social media platforms, website content, and digital marketing campaigns ensuring consistent navy-and-gold brand identity and a strong content calendar. Coordinate media and public relations activity, including relationships with local radio, print and digital sports media to secure regular club coverage. Email CVs to:
