Position Details
Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Grade: H
Responsible To: Chief Architect / Relevant Supervisor
Job Summary
The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing professional quantity surveying services, including cost estimation, project costing, contract administration, and monitoring of construction projects undertaken by the Ministry.
Key Duties
- Prepare cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects.
- Monitor project costs and expenditure.
- Provide quantity surveying advice on construction projects.
- Prepare tender documentation and evaluate bids.
- Monitor contractor performance and project progress.
- Conduct valuations and certify payments.
- Ensure compliance with construction contracts.
- Prepare technical reports and cost analysis.
- Provide guidance on cost-effective construction solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Relevant experience in quantity surveying and construction project management.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of construction contracts and procurement procedures.
- Cost management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
