Our Engineering recruitment team is partnering with an established leader in the mining and minerals processing sector to recruit an experienced Service Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and travelling to customer sites to install, maintain and commission specialised equipment.

If you have experience with crushing equipment, a strong mechanical aptitude, and enjoy working in a dynamic technical environment, we'd love to hear from you.

• Performing mechanical, electrical and control & instrumentation (C&I) refurbishments across the company's product range.
• Assembling, testing and commissioning new crushers, sorters and associated process equipment.
• Installing new and refurbished equipment at customer sites.
• Operating specialised processing equipment during on-site projects.
• Conducting fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs on customer equipment.
• Preparing technical reports, recommendations and repair specifications.
• Assisting with quotations by identifying spare parts and repair requirements.
• Supporting project planning and supervising maintenance activities where required.
• Completing quality documentation, test certificates and accurate service records.
• Maintaining workshop equipment and ensuring excellent housekeeping standards.
• Participating in safety initiatives, toolbox talks and mentoring junior staff.
• Providing after-hours technical support through a 24/7 standby and emergency call-out roster.
• Building strong customer relationships while contributing to continued business growth.

• Computer literacy.
• Physically fit and medically capable of working on mining and industrial equipment.

• Technical Certificate or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline ( Millwright qualification highly advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a service, maintenance or field service environment.
• Experience within the mining, crushing or mineral processing industry.
• Knowledge of crushing equipment and related mechanical systems.
• Valid driver's licence.
