Market Research & Analysis

• Maintain Capital Markets SSA weekly transaction + Business Development tracker
• Target asset details and ownership profiles
• Active and potential buyer profiles
• Active and potential portfolio developers and sellers
• Primary and alternative lenders in Africa

Financial Analysis & Valuation Support

• Assist with property valuations using various methodologies (income, sales comparison, cost approaches)
• Support financial modeling for investment analysis and transactions
• Prepare basic cash flow projections and investment return calculations
• Assist in due diligence processes for ongoing transactions

Research & Publications

• Provide support on research publications
• Support ongoing publication efforts including regular market overviews
• Maintain database of historic transactions in South Africa and rest of Africa
• Maintain database of role players in the African R/E sector for marketing and communication purposes.

Transaction & Client Support

• Support the team in ongoing transactions and pitches
• Assist in coordinating internal and external client events
• Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Coursework or knowledge in property valuation principles and financial modeling preferred
• Understanding of real estate investment analysis and financial concepts advantageous

Technical Competencies

• Basic understanding of property valuation methodologies
• Familiarity with financial modelling and advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis)
• Knowledge of investment analysis concepts (IRR, NPV, cap rates, yield analysis)
• Strong research, analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
