SUMMARY

Small Restaurant Group based in Parkview is looking for a Bakery & Central Kitchen Supervisor.

This is a key new role created to strengthen their growing business, which now includes 2 cafés and an in-house bakery / dark kitchen that produces cakes, a small retail product line, and supplies for wholesalers.

You will be based primarily in their dedicated bakery / dark kitchen space, playing a hands-on part in operations. This position is critical for improving efficiency, maintaining high standards, and ensuring consistent quality across the business.

POSITION INFO

Duties: Pack orders accurately for wholesalers and handle customer cake orders. Coordinate and organize delivery of finished cakes and products to both stores. Follow recipes precisely, maintain excellent neatness and organisation at all times, and set a strong example for the wider team. Manage stock control: prevent over-ordering, issue stock for manufacturing, keep all stock locked and accurately counted. Check and cost recipes on an ongoing basis. Capture invoices and handle a small amount of related admin. Implement and maintain deep cleaning schedules and strict hygiene standards in the bakery/kitchen area. Be flexible and willing to jump in and assist at either café Requirements: Grade 12 Formal culinary qualification At least 3+ years' experience in a similar position Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for quality and organisation. Proven ability to follow recipes accurately and work neatly and efficiently. Experience in a bakery, kitchen, or food production environment Reliability; initiative, and a proactive "owner's mindset" even when working independently. Commitment to hygiene, food safety, and high service standards. Flexibility to support the cafés when required.
