IN-HOUSE ATTORNEY — LABOUR & EMPLOYMENT LAW (SANDTON)

Are you an Admitted Attorney with a passion for employment law who's ready to move in-house and become the go-to voice on workforce matters?

We're looking for a Labour and Employment Law specialist with 3–5 years post-admission experience to join our in-house legal team as Junior In-House Counsel, advising management and HR on everything from CCMA disputes to large-scale restructuring.

POSITION INFO

What you'll own: Advise on disciplinary processes, misconduct, incapacity, grievances, and workplace disputes Manage matters at the CCMA, bargaining councils, Labour Court, and Labour Appeal Court, and instruct external counsel Draft and review employment contracts, restraint of trade agreements, settlement agreements, and workplace policies Guide retrenchments, restructuring, and business transfer processes Ensure organisation-wide compliance with labour legislation and drive risk mitigation What you bring: LLB from a recognised South African university Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa (non-practising roll) 3-5 years post-admission experience specialising in labour and employment law Demonstrated experience handling labour disputes and CCMA/Labour Court litigation Strong stakeholder management skills and commercially sound judgement Advantageous: postgraduate qualification in Labour Law/Industrial Relations, or mediator accreditation Details: Office-based in Sandton | R35,000-R40,000/month | Regular court/CCMA attendance | Occasional travel If you thrive in the fast-moving world of employee relations and want real ownership over an organisation's labour risk, we want to hear from you.
