Well established company based in Bloemfontein is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to join their dynamic team.

POSITION INFO

Desired Experience & Qualification: National Senior Certificate of equivalent to NQF 4 1 Year experience in Supervising a team 2 Years experience in office and systems administration Knowlege of ISO22000 will be advantageous Previous experience in a laboratory will be beneficial Must be Afrikaans speaking Duties & Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with product and service quality standrads, food safety and standard operating procedures Oversee and perform tests of animal feed samples for nutritional content, contaminants and conformance Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment in line with standard operating procedures Ensure compliance with ISO, HACCP, GMP and relevant regulatory standards Maintain accurate records of all tests and results Perform internal audits and facilitate external inspections for lab accreditation Train and supervise laboratory technicians Investigate non-conformance and determine corrective preventative actions Monitor and investigate critical control points (CCPs) and Operational Prerequisite Programes (ORPs) to ensure compliance with company standards Manage laboratory operations, staff scheduling and workflow efficiency Abilities, competencies and knowledge: Time management Ability to work under pressure Integrity Work ethics Accuracy and attention to detail Analytical thinking Work independently Organisational skills
