The company is committed to sustainable mining practices, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. This opportunity offers exposure to diverse mining operations while playing a key role in ensuring responsible environmental management and continuous improvement across the business. The successful candidate will oversee environmental compliance across multiple mining sites, ensuring adherence to environmental authorisations, Water Use Licences, and legal requirements. Duties include conducting audits and inspections, managing environmental incidents, engaging contractors and stakeholders, monitoring performance metrics, implementing environmental initiatives, coordinating reporting, delivering training, and driving continuous environmental improvement. Job Experience and Skills Required: BSc Honours Degree in Environmental Science or a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience in environmental compliance and management, preferably within the mining industry. Professional registration with SACNASP and/or EAPASA, or eligibility for registration. Strong knowledge of South African environmental legislation, including NEMA, Environmental Management Programmes, and Water Use Licence compliance.
