Job Purpose
To manage the financial function on site through the implementation of financial controls, recording and reporting to ensure controls are maintained in all finance related functions/procedures relating to business on site/s in area of responsibility to mitigate risks
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure asset management processes are implemented and maintained to
manage stock, accurately to prevent theft.
- To manage all procedures relating to value chain, wages, debtors and creditors to prevent misappropriation of company funds.
- To ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial information through compilation of balance sheet reconciliations
- To provide a cost management service to the management team in respect of deviation reporting along with waste elimination opportunities.
- Financial accounting including: -
- Initiating and maintaining of company procedures and policies relating to admin and finance
- Managing risk and taking corrective action
- Budget preparation, monitoring, and variance reporting
- Forecasting and financial projections
- Ensuring correctness/accuracy of financial data
- Perform financial month-end up to trial balance
- Compiling of all required reports within set deadlines
- Manage on-going functioning of IT infrastructure
- Managing Human Resources
- Prepare and assist with audits
- Evaluate proposed capital projects and complete capex request
Experience And Qualifications
- Matric
- BCom Accounting Degree – Essential
- CIMA or Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles
- 2-3 years in a similar role
- FMCG at operational level 2-3 Essential
- Supervisory experience 2-3 Essential
