Minimum Qualifications: B-Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent Required Professional Registration: Professional Registration with ECSA either as Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr. Tech Eng.) Minimum Experience: 5years' experience in Chemical Process Engineering Key Outputs: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Planning and Design, the employee will: Design water and wastewater treatment processes Lead the design, project execution, commissioning and handover to Client of water and wastewater treatment plants.  Conduct on-site assessments with the aim of selecting appropriate water and/or wastewater solutions Monitor water and wastewater treatment processes Monitor operations and activities to prevent, minimize or reduce activities that might potentially lead to environmental degradation and pollution of natural water resources Research relevant course contents, establishing and maintaining a training library to improve operations Optimize water and wastewater processes Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance to quality standards Define objectives for infrastructure to ensure quality and continuous improvement Provide process support to Operations and Maintenance department for both primary and secondary business Technical supervision of operational treatment plants Process support and troubleshoot during commissioning, process testing and plant operation Key Competencies: Knowledge of OHS Act Knowledge of the Environmental Act Knowledge of Supply Chain Management Processes Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act Computer Literate - spreadsheets, word processing, presentation packages, design and modelling packages Valid unendorsed driver's license Employment Equity Target: Preference will be given to females
