Our client in the Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration wholesale industry is seeking to employ a Junior Counter Salesperson to join their team based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).

POSITION INFO

Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics. 1-2 years' sales or customer service experience, preferably within a retail, wholesale or trade environment. Experience within the air-conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing or hardware industry will be advantageous. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office. Experience using a point-of-sale (POS) or ERP system will be beneficial. Valid driver's licence (non-negotiable). Good numerical ability, excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus. Willingness to learn and build a career within the HVAC-R industry. Responsibilities: Assist walk-in and inbound telephone customers with product enquiries and sales. Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable air-conditioning and refrigeration products. Prepare accurate quotations and process sales orders. Process cash, card and account sales in accordance with company procedures. Liaise with the warehouse regarding stock availability and customer collections. Follow up on quotations and customer enquiries. Assist with stock receiving, stock counts and inventory control. Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, technicians and trade customers. Keep up to date with new products, promotions and industry developments.
