SUMMARY
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth across the hotel group by securing new business, maintaining strong client relationships, and promoting the group’s portfolio of properties. This role is based in Cape Town and requires regular travel to properties across South Africa, with future potential for international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase occupancy, revenue, and brand awareness across the hotel group
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within corporate, leisure, travel trade, and group markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, travel agents, tour operators, and corporate partners
- Conduct regular sales calls, site inspections, and client meetings
- Travel to group properties nationwide to understand offerings and represent the brand effectively
- Promote and sell accommodation, conferencing, events, and hospitality packages
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to expand market presence
- Prepare quotations, contracts, and proposals for prospective clients
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management
POSITION INFO
Qualifications Grade 12 / Matric (essential) Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred) Experience Minimum 5 years' sales experience within the hospitality or hotel industry Strong understanding of hotel sales, reservations, and revenue generation Established network within the hospitality, travel, and tourism sectors Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets Skills & Competencies Strong negotiation and closing skills Excellent communication and presentation abilities Ability to build long-term client relationships Strong knowledge of the hospitality market and industry trends Excellent organisational and planning skills Ability to travel frequently and work independently Computer literacy (MS Office, CRM systems, hotel reservation systems) Requirements Must be based in Cape Town Must have a valid driver's license and own reliable transport Must be willing and able to travel extensively within South Africa Must be flexible for potential international travel opportunities in the future Personal Attributes Professional and well-presented Results-driven and highly motivated Passionate about hospitality and guest experience Dynamic, adaptable, and resilient Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
