Our client is looking for a driven sales professional with proven experience selling welding equipment & consumables.
- Technical knowledge on Welding Equipment (non-neg).
- Existing customer network in the Sasolburg or Middleburg or Rustenburg (Non-neg).
- Strong new business development skills.
Only candidates with relevant Welding Equipment sales experience in either of the above locations will be considered!
POSITION INFO
Minimum Requirements: Proven external sales experience in welding equipment  and welding consumables. New business development. Must have an existing customer database in the Sasolburg or Middleburg or Rustenburg. Target and deadline-driven. Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory through prospecting, cold calling, and networking. Develop and execute strategic territory sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals. Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase welding equipment capabilities. Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and negotiate contracts with customers timeously. Provide sales and customer support to the existing/internal and potential customers. Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer sites to promote products and services. Generate weekly sales reports and track performance metrics In conjunction with the Sales & Inventory coordinators, ensure that stock is accurately managed and controlled. Support financial management by assisting in recovering outstanding debtors. Ensure PDI, purchase requisitions and invoices are completed accurately and timeously. Ensure compliance with SHERQ policies, practices and procedures. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and account growth. Conduct regular customer visits to understand evolving needs and identify upselling opportunities. Provide technical consultation to help customers select appropriate welding solutions for their applications. Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution. Deliver product training and after-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction. Organise and facilitate any potential demonstrations and /or training sessions as required by customers. Technical & Market Intelligence Keep abreast of welding technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Provide market feedback to management regarding customer needs, competitive activities, and product performance. Collaborate with technical teams to develop customised solutions for complex customer requirements. Educate customers on safety standards, welding procedures, and best practices.
