POSITION INFO

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or microbiology, Information Systems or related field Minimum Experience: 1-2 years technical experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems as a (LIMS) Administrator with certification Key Outputs: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Scientific Service , the employee will: Configure LIMS Functionalities Provide of day-to-day technical support for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Management of the live LIMS system and performing system monitoring LIMS Validation Ensure system is fit for intended use Maintain data integrity Support regulatory compliance Ensure Provision and adherence to LIMS Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Training Modules Assist in writing of the LIMS SOP/WIs (work instructions) and associated training packages. Implementation of LIMS into QC and provide LIMS support and training to the department during and after implementation. Key Competencies: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with database concepts such as SQL is generally required. Experience with specific LIMS platforms like Lab Ware, STARLIMS, or Therma Fisher is highly valued. Understanding industry-specific standards and regulations, such as ISO 17025, GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), or cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), is essential for ensuring compliance. Some technical roles, like a LIMS Developer, require skills in programming languages like Python or Java. Employment Equity Target: Preference will be given to females
