POSITION INFO

Minimum Qualifications: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) Water Related Qualification Added advantage: Relevant qualification in Water Care Minimum Experience: 5 years' experience, 3 years in water treatment Key Outputs: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the appointee will: Implement business plans at one or multiple works in the region to provide a reliable water supply. and/or effluent discharge. Control business risk by ensuring that AW meet SANS 241 for WTW and General Authorization for WWTW. Monitor continuous water demand. Ensure that infrastructure, WTWs, WWTWs and equipment operate to specified standards to meet demands Initiate and maintain communications with customers and stakeholders Control statutory requirements to promote the health of consumers, customers and employees Supervise the security of Assets and Works Manage cost centre budgets Manage and supervise staff to achieve maximum productivity Key Competencies: Supervisory or management skills Computer Literacy - MS Office Knowledge of OHS Act Telemetry experience Valid unendorsed driver's license Supervisory skills Knowledge of the AW area of supply Ability to communicate in Xhosa, English and Afrikaans Employment Equity Target: Preference will be given to females
