POSITION INFO

Minimum Qualifications: BSc / B Eng / B Tech/ in Civil Engineering Professional Registration with ECSA as: Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr. Tech Eng) Minimum Experience: 5-years Contract Management, Contract and Construction law experience. Experience in water infrastructure environment, will be an added advantage Key Outputs: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Project Management Unit, the employee will: Develop a Contract Monitoring Framework Provide contractual and commercial support to the Executive Manager: Planning and Development and Senior Manager: Project Management Unit Draft and Review Contract Documentation, Service Level Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding: Proposals. Monitor Contracts Administer and interpret engineering and related service contracts in accordance with agreed procedures and terms and conditions of contract. Evaluate variation orders and project Scope changes and propose recommendations. Report on Contracts Prepare responses to queries raised by the Client and liaise with respective Civil Design Engineers, Programme and Project Managers with respect to engineering services and contract issues. Identify contractual problems and risks. Manage and Render Contracts Administration Services Collate and undertake regular financial reviews for all contracts, in conjunction with the Programme and Project Managers. Update and file all record changes on all contracts. Key Competencies Knowledge of OHS Act Knowledge of the Environmental Act Contract Management Standards: SAICE General Conditions of Contract, 2015 and latest, NEC, FIDIC, Standard Professional Services Contract, 3rd Edition of CIDB document 1015, July 2009, published by the Construction Industry Board (CIDB) and latest, National Treasury's General Conditions of Contract for goods and services Knowledge of Supply Chain Management Processes Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act Knowledge of Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS) and Framework for Infrastructure Delivery and Procurement Management (FIPDM) Computer Literate - spreadsheets, word processing, presentation packages, design and modelling packages Valid unendorsed driver's license Employment Equity Target: Preference will be given to females
