SUMMARY

An automotive company in Westmead is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and ensure the achievement of business objectives.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all production activities, policies, procedures, and departmental performance. Drive customer and management KPIs and implement effective corrective actions when targets are not achieved. Ensure risk assessments, 5S standards, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives are maintained. Develop, mentor, and support Shift Leaders and technical specialists. Promote sound employee relations and ensure adequate staffing to meet operational requirements. Lead customer complaint resolution, corrective actions, and audit findings using structured problem-solving methodologies such as PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, and A3. Collaborate with other departments to resolve production, quality, tooling, and machine-related issues. Minimum Qualifications: Preferably an Engineering Degree/Diploma or a Diploma in Production Management (NQF Level 6/7). Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years'' production experience within the metal, automotive, or similar manufacturing industry, preferably within an OEM environment. Key Competencies: Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and employee relations capabilities. Sound knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement principles. Proven application of problem-solving tools including PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, and A3 reporting. Ability to drive accountability, performance, and operational excellence.
